One of the biggest reasons I walked away from corporate work was HR departments, the fear and control and the total lack of respect for creativity and ideas. The application processes require people to lie. One is forced to dehumanise, remove humour and as a result, your real value is never uncovered. I took a massive (80%) pay-cut and regained my soul. It became intolerable for me. The current status quo will never ever bring out the best in people. Impossible.
